Tag Along Sales Lines For Business Central Overview

Use Tag Along Sales Lines to configure items, comments, G/L accounts, fees, charges, add-on items, informational lines, and other lines that are added automatically below an item on a sale order or at the POS Screen. If the item is deleted from the sale, its attached tag along lines are also removed.

Tag Along Sales Lines For Business Central Configuration

• Open the item card for the item to which you want to add tag along sales lines.
• Go to Related > Item > Tag Along Sales Lines.
• Add the required lines. Any number of lines may be added. Whenever the item is added to a sale, the configured lines are added below it.

Tag Along Sales Line Fields

• Description, Quantity, and Unit Price are optional.
• If an optional field is blank, the line uses its default value.
• For an Item line, leaving Unit Price blank uses the unit price from the item card.
• Leaving Quantity blank uses a default quantity of 1.
• Multiply by Item Qty. specifies that the tag along line quantity is multiplied by the quantity of the item on the sale.

Add Tag Along Sales Lines to a Sale

• Add the configured item to a sale.
• The tag along entries are added automatically below the item.

Remove Tag Along Sales Lines from a Sale

• Delete the configured item from the sale.
• All tag along lines attached to that item are removed automatically.

Example Business Workflows

Add-On Item Workflow

1. Open the item card for a primary sale item.
2. Go to Related > Item > Tag Along Sales Lines.
3. Add one or more related items as tag along lines.
4. Add the primary item to a sale. The related items are added below it automatically.

Fee or Charge Workflow

1. Open the item card for the item that requires a fee or charge.
2. Add the fee or charge in Tag Along Sales Lines.
3. Add the configured item to a sale. The fee or charge is added below it automatically.

Informational Line Workflow

1. Open the item card for an item that requires additional information on the sale.
2. Add a comment or informational line in Tag Along Sales Lines.
3. Add the item to a sale. The informational line is added below it automatically.

Quantity-Based Workflow

1. Configure a tag along line for an item.
2. Enable Multiply by Item Qty..
3. Add the configured item to a sale. The tag along line quantity is multiplied by the quantity of the item on the sale.

Item Removal Workflow

1. Add a configured item to a sale so its tag along lines are added below it.
2. Delete the configured item from the sale.
3. All tag along lines attached to that item are removed automatically.
